I'm confused, was the muppet show actually aimed at kids? we're on season one, disc two, and it... it barely keeps our attention... but it keeps his 3yr old and my almost 30 yr old attention. I get bored with set-up, punchline, he gets bore with never ever getiing a joke, but we both like rolf's music, and dr. teeth and the electric mayhem, and the occasional bizzare sketch... anyway. I've been meaning to mention, I actually agree with ferraro. in a sense. therere two distinct issues here though, which no one has ever mentioned to my knowledge. see, I agree that obama would not be where he is IF he were a White guy. however, a guy of all his formidable qualities who was asian american, latino american, native american.... That is the issue. this is to say, his Non-Whiteness is greatly to his benefit. with reactionary fools like me. less for an affirmative action sort of reflex as much as folk like me are just sick of voting for old white guys. also I've been wondering if the gender wars aren't more front and center for americans than racism. no matter your gender choice and preference, its in every room of your house, every day. whereas racism, for many people, like me, its not something we think about every day, and not something we have a direct or clear emotional connection to, whereas most everyones sex life has in it some history and memory of significant turmoil. blogging from a treo is annoying as fuck.
