made a test brick t'other day, showed pretty minimal cracking, for no added sand. would probably need more sand for cob, but this isn't cob. i'mna get a few tons of sand delivered as soon as i figure out exactly where i want it.
in the background is the "buckstand" for holding the bobwire so that it can be easily taken off in long strings. (the wire goes between the courses of bags to lock them together. yes, that works.) totally functional but shakily repurposed out of an attempt at making a wooden bagstand that failed. i'll get a pic up soon of the bag stand made of bar stock. a project that would have been so easy if i could find flat stock in 100" lengths, instead of just 48" and 72".
