Things have been shifting pretty quickly around here. Last Friday Bradley was told that he wouldn't be needed anymore at work, so he's been home for a few days. At the same time, two of my dearest friends arrived from Mississippi. They'll be staying on the land with us for a couple of months, with the intention of helping me get the summer garden cleared and planted, and getting started with flock of chickens. Of course there are a million other projects they'll be helping Brad with while they're here (running water? graveling the road?), but those first two are the ones I'm participating in. It's so nice to have people around during the day, and Logan's been enjoying it to.
The other big thing that Logan's been enjoying is our new puppy, Scarab. He's a border collie/ yellow labrador mix, and we found him through the local paper. What's really nice is our neighbors over at Moonshadow also got a puppy from the same litter, so they'll get to grow up next door to each other! We've already had one playdate for them...
I've actually been spending a lot more time over at Moonshadow because I've resumed my old job of office manager. So now I'll be spending a few hours there two days a week, which should mean I'll be able too update here regularly.
As for that necklace at the top of the page? It's available over at Zaina. I know, I know, the shop is really empty right now, but I should have more necklaces in there Thursday, when I work again. I hesitate to call this a grand opening, when there's only one item for sale, but I finally admitted to myself that if I wait until I have enough time too upload everything, then it'll never open.
Hi there,
Those are really good photos and your blog is a great portal into the very interesting life you lead. I'd love you to do a post on life in a yome.
