The sun is back. After a few weeks of unusually warm weather, we had several days of killing frost, but now the sun is back! The effect of the frost on the landscape is stunning; everything turned brown again, and I don't know if they'll all recover. This April frost will mean no blueberries this summer, and no figs in the fall, and on and on because the budding fruit was all annihilated.
I got a fat quarter pack in the mail, and have been daydreaming of different ways to combine the fabrics for the bag idea. How is it possible that I went this long without seeing this fabulous collection in person? All of the prints are great, and the two pieces from the Freckles line coordinate wonderfully. After months of seeing this collection all over the blogosphere, its a little strange to have them in front of me; I'm pretty surprised by the difference in the colors from the computer screen to real life. I'm alreading coveting the next collection, Katie Jump Rope, but I can't tell whether one of the colorways is red? or orange? It looks different on different monitors.
BTW, that green print in the back is an Alexander Henry print I found on the remnants table last week in Nashville. The rest of course are from Flea Market Fancy.
It's still snowing in some parts of the country, isn't it? What's it like where you live? Has spring returned yet?
Hello,
